Adding ALLSTAR to the DR1X repeater.   What is the best turn key method ?

#Question

So I need help with my decision, I’ve spent a long time review and still lost.  The plan is to connect the DR1X to allstar.   So what is the best quality and direct.   Which of the following would yield the best results?

requirements :::
- repeater will be at a remote location
- wish list solar power (determine later)

Please help with the decision,  what should be my decision?

1.)
Model RA-DR1X
http://www.masterscommunications.com/products/radio-adapter/radr1x.html
Description:
David Lowrence AL5X contacted me describing a modification he did to the RA-40 radio adapter to allow it to revert the Yaesu DR-1X to local control if something AllStar wise fails. If the Raspberry Pi or radio adapter fails, the DR-1X will revert to in-cabinet contol and continue to work. The DR-1X requires an open collector logic output of the correct logic direction in order to accomplish this. The modification requires one additional transistor than a conventional RA-40 has. The RA-DR1X is basically the RA-40 shown in Dave's web article built with the additional components shown in the article. Unlike Dave's modification, all logic components on the RA-DR1X are on the component side of the PC board. Only the EEPROM is mounted on the solder side, just like all our other radio adapters.

2.)
Yaesu DR-1X Fusion Repeater Project with a Pi 3 and RA-40 Control Interface Board
http://www.resonantfractals.org/Echolink-Cable/Repeaters.html
The RA-40 interface board was chosen and a Pi /3 computer as a best cost effective method, with a feature rich package already available.

3.)
MABEL DR-1X Control Board Kit
http://www.customcomms.net/products
Description:
The MABEL interface and software allows analog control of the Yaesu DR-1X repeater and access to the AllStar VOIP network with the Raspberry Pi3 and the HamVOIP ver. 1.5 release.

4.)
Modifying the Yaesu DR1 Repeater for use on Allstar

5.)
What are my other option ?? What have I overlooked or have not taken into account????
PLEASE OFFER EXAMPLE, BUT MOST IMPORTANT LINK SO I CAN RESEARCH

*** in future what are some other repeater that make this task easy, Analog V/U repeaters that are flexible
